Yoga for Everybody
Most of our students fall within the 35-65 age range, though we have students in their early 20’s through early 80’s. We practice yoga to keep our bodies healthy and our minds calm and focused. The strength and flexibility which comes from regular practice are welcome benefits.
Classes are non-competitive with neither dogma nor politics. We do yoga to cultivate increased ease in our body while bringing balance to hormonal, metabolic and emotional systems.
Portland Yoga Arts is an active part of the community. Our 2012 Thanksgiving Day benefit raised over $3,000 for the Oregon Food Bank. Most of our teachers and many of our students are dedicated volunteers with community non-profits. We regularly host fundraisers for other community groups.
